Stickers should be put in places where water does not run, where it stagnates and stays for hours. This means that it does not make sense to put them in those pots without a saucer or without a holder to retain the excess irrigation water. It is possible that we find adult tiger mosquitoes in the soil of the pots, because they look for shade and a cool place to protect themselves during the hours when they are not active, but those are not places where they are expected to nest.
The number of stickers does not depend on the extension of your yard but on the places where the water stagnates. You will need a sticker for each container of about 15cm where water accumulates, such as pot saucers, small water fountains, buckets and toys, drains or vases.
Pools are usually chlorinated, so the mosquito cannot breed there. A place where stickers should definitely be used is in drains or stagnant water sites where, after a few hours, water remains, but loses the chlorine, thus leaving a perfect place for the mosquito to lay its eggs. There is where you should put the sticker.
